RENEWABLE ENERGY STRATEGIES

YENİLENEBİLİR ENERJİ STRATEJİLERİ

Antakya is one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia. Historical life findings in the region date back to 100,000 BC. The findings show that the region was used as a widespread settlement during the Middle Paleolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic periods and the Bronze Age.

If only one place in the world were chosen that corresponds to the word ancient, it would be Antakya. Almost all civilizations that have left their mark on world history have ruled in Antakya.

Antioch, the military base and Eastern capital of the great Roman Empire, is the city where Christianity was founded. St. Peter’s (St.Piere) church, which is the first church (cave church) in the World where the word ‘Christian’ was found and placed, is also in Antakya.

Antakya, which contains people from many races, religions and sects, is an exemplary city that shows that tolerance and fraternity are possible.

With its warm climate, historical texture and rich cuisine, Antakya has a very important place for our country. For Antakya, a city of such importance, it is aimed to make an exemplary project with high engineering value, energy saving, environmentally friendly, by using systems with technology that has not been applied before in Türkiye in accordance with today’s conditions.

In today’s world, where access to energy resources is difficult and energy costs are so high, the importance of these systems is increasing. For this purpose, in our project, it is designed to use the sewage lines collected from the buildings for heating and cooling in a recyclable manner. Figure 1 shows the application and schematic view of the
sample system to be used. In addition, the energy in the soil will be used for heating and cooling, and the needs of the buildings will be met. Figure 2 shows the application images of the sample system to be used.

The energy in the sewage and soil will be transferred to the system through a high-performance heat pump. In addition, a natural ga fired cogeneration system is integrated to generate thermal energy and electrical energy.

The cogeneration system will also meet the electricity needs of the heat pumps. Thus, the thermal energy obtained from electricity generation will additionally contribute to the heating needs of the building. In this context, this project will be the first sustainable, environmentalist, fossil fuel-independent project in Türkiye. This Project will serve as a model and encourage all future projects.
